Hi there! I'm Maxime Evangelista, a fashion and documentary photographer from France, now based in Vienna, Austria.

Photography is a passion passed down to me by my grandfather, his gift of an analog camera in 2016 was the first step in my photographic journey. I used that first camera while living in Lyon, capturing the beauty of everyday life on film and exploring the streets around me. Since then, photography has become part of me, I never leave home without a camera.

As a keen traveler with a thirst for adventure, my cameras have let me capture my view of the world : from San Francisco to Scotland, from Dublin to Austria, and passing by the Baltics, different cameras have framed my experiences and memories.

2020 arrived, with the desire to meet new people despite the challenging times. Once lockdown lifted, my adventure into portrait photography really began. Constantly meeting amazing and diverse people during shoots drove my passion, and I turned to portrait and fashion work as my main focus.

Today, that work takes shape as lookbooks, campaigns, and social content for brands who care about authentic, essential imagery over over-polished spectacle.

That same instinct for the road has grown into a deeper documentary project, The Thread That Weaves Deeper: a long-form look at cowboy culture around the globe. It's less about capturing a trending lifestyle than bearing witness to a way of life, one rodeo, one bootmaker, one conversation at a time.
